Toll House Cookies

These cookies are my hubbies favorite cookie,
or maybe its my oatmeal cookies that are his favorite...
anyhoo,
he is going "prairie dog hunting" on my Uncles ranch
in the northern part of the state...
and he requested toll house cookies and
since I am such a good wife...
he is taking these cookies
with him...
Did I mention that when I was really young,
I owned a bakery...and when I opened it,
my oldest daughter was only
"1"
at the time...
I know, I know,
"What the hell was I thinking?"
I'm the kind of girl
that fly's by the seat of her pants...
and after much thought (on a whim)
I purchased an old bakery in my home town...
these cookies were a hit...we made them by the 100's
I miss that bakery...
but not the long hours...
Petie's Chocolate Chip Cookies
3/4 cup butter
1 3/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 egg
1 3/4 cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups chocolate chips
2 cups chopped pecans
Heat oven to 350
Combine butter, brown sugar, milk, vanilla in a large bowl.
Beat well.
Beat egg into creamed mixture.
Combine flour, salt, and baking soda.
Mix into creamed mixture.
Stir in chips and nuts.
Drop by rounded spoonfuls of dough onto
baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 9 to 11 minutes.
I like to pat the tops of the cookies as soon as they come out
of the oven. Remove cookies from pan and let cool.
Makes @ 3 dozen yummy cookies
Enjoy!
