Visiting Indiana with 56,000 Teenagers

Last week
I went to Indiana with my daughter
and her high school FFA team for the National FFA competitions
and I survived
barely
56,000 people in one area of the city
I have a love/hate relationship with the FFA
and this definitely added to the love part
kudos to a well run convention

The weather in Indiana was
BEAUTIFUL
especially experiencing the Fall weather
rain, wind, and cold
my favorite part was being able to wear
sweaters and tights
it's still shorts weather in Arizona

My sister and I were so excited over the fall weather
we collected leaves to bring home
except mine ended up all over the airport floor
My bag was over sixty pounds (there is a fifty pound limit)
and the not so nice attendant checking us in
was going to charge me an arm and a leg to check it in
not so nice words were flying out of my mouth
and thanks to my sister she reminded me to be patient
so I unzipped my bag in front of everybody
and started downloading stuff into another bag
and leaves were flying everywhere
I did manage to come home with a few leaves

  1. I HATE how nasty those airport people can be sometimes-they COULD ask nicely if they so desired. I am glad you managed to get a few leaves home intact. xo Diana
