Don't you just love the sound of Friday?

I have a busy weekend ahead.

My hubby will be home,

so I will be a baking and cooking fool.

He has a sweet tooth.

 I have Chocolate chip cookies (his favorite)

and

a fabulous chocolate cake 
on the menu.

I made meatballs and sauce this week,

and will be making a hearty meatball sandwich

for Friday night

and

grilled shrimp and steak (his favorite)

with blue cheese potatoes, yum! for Saturday night.

Since,

this ended up being wedding week here on Pie Ranch,

I just had to share

An Italian Wedding

I love Catholic weddings.

This wedding was held at the bride's Grandmother's home

in the Italian countryside.

She spent her summers' there, making memories,

playing with her sister's and cousins.

Munchkin Shoes

We had these shoes custom made

for the wedding...

On the sides

we had "munchkin" stitched in white...

At first,

I was apprehensive about

the dwarf

wearing converse

at her sister's wedding...

But

as she was walking down the aisle

during the ceremony,

she could hear the guests whispering

"OMGosh, look at her shoes!"

"Her shoes are so cute!"

It turns out they were

a big hit...

The bride had some great ideas...

despite her mother

being apprehensive about

alot of them...

The Elusive Coffee Table Book

My daughter was

looking for a coffee table book

for her guests to sign at her

upcoming wedding...

She was looking for

something along the lines of

ranching, agriculture, Arizona scenery, etc...

Finding this book seems next to

impossible...

A few years back

I went to an auction with my parents,

and one of the items that were up for auction

was this really cool ranching coffee table book...

Of course,

I had to have that book and wouldn't you know it,

other people there wanted that book just as much as I did...

I set my price for bidding

and was determined not to go over my set bidding price...

Well, with all the excitement that this book

brought in bidding...

I got caught up in the bidding war...

Lucky for me I lost the war...

Can you imagine

me coming home and telling my husband

that I just paid $350.00 for a coffee table book...

I think my limit on the book was around $40.00...

Yes, I kept bidding right up to around $325.00...

So, I think it's fair to say

that I am not good with limits...

and of course,

I will never forget that book...

In my quest for finding her a book,

I came across the book above...

I love this book...

I love the couch on page 127...

Everything on pages 48 and 49...

on pages 58 and 59,

are recipes for beeswax polish and furniture polish...

and my most favorite page is page 70...

I love that room...
