My breakfast.

Cleaned carrots.

Don't you just love the color of this beet?

I love to save the tops of the beets and carrots and  make arrangements.

They are so pretty.

Its been a good morning.

Saturday Morning

I know better than to fantasize about gardening...

Gardening is a lot of work!!!!!!!!!!

I have spent all morning cleaning beets and swiss chard and then cooking them.


Remember this is Saturday morning,
 where people, normal people,
 not people like my sweet husband,
 SLEEP IN.

Sprinkle or Flood?

My hubby and I

have an on going argument about watering...

I think you should flood your garden

with water

he seems to think

sprinkling the garden is the ticket...

(would somebody please tell him we live in the desert)

Every summer

my herb/flower garden dies...

So this year,

I am determined to keep

it alive...

FLOODING IT WITH WATER...

So far so good,

but we are only half way into June...

I've got my fingers crossed...
