A Weekend of Procrastinating

Hank on the farm eating watermelon

I hate it when I am not feeling well
I get nothing done
I have a list a mile long of things that need to get done
but all I want to do is lay around on the couch
and watch Fox news
or sit at the computer and find random things
below are some things I found while procrastinating
my chore list

I am loving this white house

I found this article funny and found it sort of relative
to what are government does

In case you have a thing for wire,
I found just the pinterest board for you, your welcome

May seems to be full of events,
graduations, Mother's Day, Weddings
and along with these events come gifts
I thought this was a cute idea for thank you notes

I really need these tumblers for my hutch

and if you haven't tried this on your ice cream,
you are missing out

A Simple Mother's Day

Let's see
I woke up on Mother's Day at five in the morning
with Hank and his mom
I was having my Mother up for a Mother's Day brunch
raspberry scones
caramel rolls
a mushroom quiche, a green bean quiche, and a cheese quiche
fried potatoes
my sister brought the bacon and watermelon
I cut roses and beets for the centerpieces
I secretly have my hubby grow beets
so that I can use the top for centerpieces
I love the way they look in a glass vase
by the time we sat down to eat
I wasn't hungry
I was tired
I used the pink dishes that I have been collecting
from thrift stores
lots of ooh's and aah's
when they walked in the door and saw the table
and if you are wondering if I got a little blue box for my gift
sort of
my daughter who knows me to well
gave me a big box of goodies
a rachel ashwell duvet
cute little notepads for my desk
that say,
Be.you.tiful
and
some people look for a beautiful place
and others make a place beautiful
and the cup above
we both love Pride and Prejudice
and the cup is very special
and at the bottom of the big box was a little blue bag
thank you Holly
I love you sooooo much

Look What I Found

rain or shine necklace

tea towel

pressed flower sachets

ticking stripe apron with the
homemade summer book

market bag

Please tell me
you don't do a thing on
Mother's Day
that you get treated like a queen
really,
all I want is a Tiffany bracelet or two
and I will do all the cooking
the above items are from
a few things I picked out that I wouldn't mind receiving
but if my family is reading this
Tiffany bracelet
it comes in the prettiest little blue box
and I have wanted one forever...

I really am grateful to be called a Mother
there is no other job in the world that I would rather do

I love my family ferociously
and find it an honor to be the Mother
of three
 beautiful children
I have truly been blessed

A Rustic Spanish Ranch House

Article and photos by

I have had this beautiful ranch house
bookmarked for a while now
I am usually not into color
except for a touch here and there
but I absolutely love all the colors going on in this home
the red chair, the colorful indian rugs, the cacti
and I would love to cook in that kitchen
Happy Monday...

I survived the Vintage Market

My feet have finally recovered
and
I can't remember having that much fun in a long time
The market brought in four thousand people
and we were busy from the time it opened until it closed
I can't wait till the next one

My conversation with the guy above:

me- You look familiar are you from Buckeye
the guy-no, I live around here
me-oh, you look like a Buckeye boy
the guy-he just laughs

about ten minutes later,

an older gentleman comes running into my booth with a baseball
and asked the guy above
if he could have his autograph
duh...
now I know why he looked so familiar,
he was a pitcher for the Diamondback's,
Arizona's baseball team
me to the guy-I am so sorry, I don't follow baseball,
I love football
he couldn't stop laughing
I think I turned twenty shades of red
he bought the shelves behind us for his man cave
